Important game to mention about took place in Svitavy. First rankedSvitavy (14-8) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Polabi (12-10) 92-90 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Polabi. Svitavy had a 37-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Polabi was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-1984) notched 28 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and Slovakian power forward Peter Sedmak (207-1985, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) by point guard Vojtech Synacek (188-2006) did not help to save the game for Polabi . point guard Theodor Dlugos (183-1997) added 16 points and 8 assists. Five Svitavy and four Polabi players scored in double figures. Polabi's coach Eduard Kotasek tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Svitavy maintains first position with 14-8 record, which they share with Litomerice and Pardubice. Polabi at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost.
